Chest Of Three Drawers By Morris Of Glasgow Circa 1950s

This is a beautiful looking piece, that is from the Cumbrae range, was made by H Morris &Co Ltd of Glasgow. The Australian walnut veneers are in great vintage condition as is the teak frame. The drawers are wood lined and the original handles are crafted from sycamore. The piece is in solid condition with no loose or wobbly joints. The firm of H Morris & Co Ltd was established in around 1885. By the early 1920s it had acquired premises at Milton Street, Glasgow. The firm manufactured furniture and, in the early days, cinema seats. It was also responsible for fitting out the luxury liners, the Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth and Queen Elizabeth II. Great quality.
