A Younger Ltd Teak/Afromosia 'Volany' Sideboard Circa 1950s

This is a beautiful looking 'Volany' sideboard/credenza by A Younger Ltd and designed by John Herbert in the 1950s. The Volany range was manufactured from 1957 up until the late sixties. This example sits on four tapering legs and has four central drawers flanked by two cabinet doors giving it a wonderful symmetry. The top drawer is lined in green baize and has removable sections to accommodate your cutlery the side cabinets are fitted with a shelf. The piece is constructed from Afromosia and teak and displays no loose or wobbly joints. There are a few minor age related marks however, they do not detract from the overall fantastic condition and look.
